On April 19th, the Almaty Jewish Community Center held, with the aid of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, a mourning ceremony for the victims of the Holocaust. Over 40 people came to honor the memory of the victims of the Catastrophe.

Several thousand people, including famous politicians, community activists, musicians, and journalists participated the already-traditional “Belarusskiy Les” (Belarusian Forest) event on April 12th.
The Deputy Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Haim ben Yakov has taken part in the Mimouna celebration. Mimouna is a traditional North African Jewish celebration held the day after Passover, a day for friendship, open doors, and open hearts.
The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Moscow office has hosted a meeting between the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General, professor Michael Chlenov, Secretary General of the Central Council of Jews in Germany Stephan J. Kramer, and the Director of the Berlin Jewish Studies Center Dr. Hermann Simon. The discussion revolved around possible joint programs aimed at national education and preserving the Jewish identity.
In 2011, the Mitzvah Association of Jewish Organizations of Kazakhstan was given a building for a synagogue in the city of Kostanay. The community surrounding it has thrived, a testament to which is that the 2012 Passover seder gathered over eighty people from Kostanay, Lysakovsk, and Rudniy.
Before this year's Pesach, as in the last ten, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress took an active part in providing matzot for communities in different countries of its region of interest.
