On the 24th of March, a presentation ceremony for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) highest award – the For Merits medal - took place in Pavlodar. The medal was given to professor of philology, compositor, music scholar, and collector Naum Gershevich Shafer.

On the 19th of May, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Chairman, Executive Vice President of the Congress of National Communities of Ukraine, member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union Josef Zisels gave a lecture titled “On the question of identities: problems of national, religious, and civilizational identity” as part of the Polit.ua public lecture project.
On the 18th of May, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Chairman Josef Zisels spoke in Simferopol at the All-Crimean Memorial Meeting, dedicated to the 67th year since the deportation of Crimean Tatars from the peninsula.
